In this clip from the 2013 sci-fi surprise Elysium the badass antagonist Kruger (Sharlto Copley) is hoisted onto a medi-bed by his two henchmen Drake (Brandon Auret) and Crowe (Josh Blacker) who have an enlightening exchange about the extent of damage primarily to Kruger’s face from a grenade. The medi-pod can “re-atomize” even the most horrific and deadly of health woes (nevermind Kruger should be dead in the first place from such an extensive hit). The medi-bed is one of the lynchpins of the film, and can do wonders, even if you suffer from maxillofacial avulsion, as long as your brain function is… watch:
